About Us

We at Cylch Meithrin Yr Eglwys Newydd extend a very warm welcome to you and your child.

From the very first day to the time when your child is ready to leave the Cylch Meithrin and progress to Primary School, we want to ensure that your child receives every opportunity to socialise and develop well with us.

Cylch Meithrin Yr Eglwys Newydd is a Welsh-medium playgroup for children aged 2-4, but  welcome all children in the area no matter what language is spoken at home. The wrap-around care is available to our pupils who attend part-time nursery at Melin Gruffydd. We are also registered for the 30-hour childcare provision.

Structured activities include painting, blocks, colouring, videos, jigsaws, dancing, music, yoga, sand, story-time, water and imaginative play.

The leader works to detailed half-termly plans, which ensure the children’s activities cover the Curriculum for Wales framework to enhance children's development through the following developmental pathways:

• belonging

• communication

• exploration

• physical Development

• well-being
